Terms of Service

Last updated 13 October 2026. These terms apply to the Bounty Go mobile app and to bountygo.app.

The short version

  • You must be at least 13 to use Bounty Go.
  • A reward is an offer from one person to another. Bounty Go never holds, handles, routes, insures, guarantees or takes a percentage of any reward, and is not a party to the deal.
  • We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Report either, and we act within 24 hours.
  • You are meeting strangers in the real world. Do it in public, and use your judgement, because we cannot vet anyone for you.
  • Posting a listing is free, and so is finding. Nothing is sold in the app. If you bought the listing subscription before it was withdrawn, it renews through your App Store or Google Play account until you cancel it there.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Studio Perez (סטודיו פרץ), operated by Yaniv Perez, of Tel Aviv, Israel — referred to here as Bounty Go, we, or us. Our studio’s own site is yanivperez.com; you can reach us about these terms at [email protected]. They cover the Bounty Go mobile app, this website, and the service behind both.

By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Bounty Go is a place where a person who has lost a pet or an item can publish a listing on a map, with a reward they are offering, and where people nearby can report having seen it and arrange to return it. We provide the map, the messaging and the handover process. We do not find anything ourselves, and we are not a courier, an insurer, a payment processor, a detective agency or an emergency service.

2. Who may use it

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Bounty Go only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms with you.
  • You must not be barred from using the service under the laws that apply to you, and you must not be someone we have previously removed.
  • One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, and do not create a second one to get around a suspension.

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use one copy of the Bounty Go app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, for as long as you comply with these terms. That is a licence, not a sale: we and our licensors keep every right in the app, its code, its artwork, its sounds and its name.

You may not copy, modify, translate, decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source of the app except to the extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction. You may not rent, lease, lend, sell or redistribute it, remove any notice from it, or use it to build a competing service.

4. Your account

You sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and a password you choose. If you use Apple or Google, keep control of that account, because anyone with it can get into your Bounty Go account. If you use a password, keep it safe, and keep control of the email address: a forgotten password is reset with a code we send there once the address is confirmed, and the reset signs out every device that used the old one. Never share a code we send you; nobody at Bounty Go will ask for one. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the accuracy of what you publish through it. A listing that describes something you have not lost, or offers a reward you do not intend to pay, is a breach of these terms.

5. Rewards are between you and the other person

A reward shown on a listing is an offer made by the owner of that listing to whoever returns what they lost. It is settled directly between those two people. Bounty Go never holds, handles, routes, receives, insures or guarantees any reward, and never takes a percentage of one.

There is no escrow. There is no wallet, no balance, no payout and no withdrawal, because no reward money ever enters the service in the first place. When you return something, the owner pays you directly, in whatever way the two of you agree: cash, a bank transfer, anything else. We are not a party to that arrangement, not an agent of either side, and not a payment processor for it.

The consequence is one we would rather state plainly than bury. Because no reward passes through us, we cannot guarantee that anyone gets paid, and we do not reimburse you if they do not. What we can do, and will:

  • Remove listings that look fraudulent.
  • Suspend or ban accounts that offer rewards they do not intend to pay, once a report is upheld.
  • Reflect that history in the trust signals attached to an account.

What we cannot do is compel payment, arbitrate a disagreement about whether the right pet was returned, or stand behind either person's promise. If someone breaks their word to you, tell us, because the pattern matters, and consider that the dispute itself is between the two of you.

Both sides also carry their own tax obligations on a reward. Bounty Go does not withhold, report or advise on tax, and nothing here is tax advice.

6. What you pay us

Nothing. Posting a listing is free, and so are installing the app, browsing the map, reporting sightings and collecting a reward. There is no charge to an owner or to a finder at any point, and nothing is sold in the app.

A published listing stays on the map for 30 days, and you can extend it from the app. You can have up to two listings live at a time; resolving or removing one frees its place for another. To keep the map useful and free of spam, we also limit how many listings one account, or one connection, can publish in a day.

If you bought the subscription. Until version 2.1, keeping a listing on the map cost an auto-renewing monthly subscription, sold and collected by Apple's App Store or by Google Play, which kept up to two of your listings live on the map at a time. It is no longer sold, and no longer needed: your listings stay on the map whether or not it is active. If you still have one, it renews automatically at the end of each month until you cancel it, and the charge goes through your store account, not through us. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; cancelling stops the next renewal. Deleting your Bounty Go account does not cancel the subscription, because only you can do that with the store.

Boosts were one-off purchases that raised a listing's prominence for a fixed period. They are not sold either. A boost bought before runs to the end of its period, and nothing about a boost renews.

Refunds. Because the stores took the money for anything bought before, they also handle refunds under their own policies. Ask Apple or Google. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase ourselves, and outside a store's own refund policy or a right the law gives you, fees already paid are not refundable.

If we ever sell something in the app again, it will be sold through the stores, and these terms will describe it before it goes on sale.

Nothing in the app's game layer, including levels, badges and the runner's weekly board, has a cash value, and none of it can be exchanged for money, a reward, a purchase or anything else.

7. Acceptable use, and zero tolerance

Bounty Go has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Content that breaks the rules below is removed and the account behind it is suspended or permanently banned. There is no warning quota to work through.

Do not post, send or upload:

  • Anything sexual involving a child, or any sexualised image of a minor. This is reported to the authorities as well as removed.
  • Pornography or sexually explicit material of any kind.
  • Threats, harassment, stalking, intimidation, or content that targets a person or a group with hatred on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
  • Violent or graphic imagery, or content that glorifies violence or animal cruelty.
  • Anyone else's personal information, including a home address, a phone number, a workplace or a photograph of a person, without their consent.
  • Anything illegal, including the sale of stolen goods, weapons, drugs or wildlife.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, or listings advertising something other than a lost pet or a lost item.
  • A listing for something you have not lost, a sighting you did not have, or a claim on something that is not yours.
  • Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.

And do not:

  • Demand money to return something before agreeing to hand it over, hold a pet or an item hostage, or raise your price once you have it. That is extortion, and it is a permanent ban.
  • Falsify your location, spoof GPS, automate the app, scrape it, or use it through anything other than the official client.
  • Play the runner with a bot, a script or a modified client, or submit a score you did not play. We may remove such scores from the weekly board, and the player with them.
  • Try to identify where someone lives from a listing, or use Bounty Go to follow, find or turn up on a person.
  • Interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or work around a suspension.

How to report, and what happens next.

Every listing, message, sighting and profile in the app carries a report control, and you can block a person from the same place. You can also write to [email protected] with a link or a screenshot.

We review every report and act on objectionable content within 24 hours of receiving it, by removing the content, ejecting the user who posted it, or both. Blocking someone hides them from you immediately, without waiting for a review. Where content has to be reported to the authorities, we report it.

By using Bounty Go you agree that there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour, and that we may remove content and terminate accounts on that basis.

8. Your content, and the licence you give us

Your photos and your words stay yours. We claim no ownership of them.

To be able to show them, you grant Bounty Go a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, re-encode, resize, adapt for display and publicly display the content you submit, for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the service. Inside the app, a listing's photo, title, category, reward and town are visible to any signed in user, and the same fields, at the fuzzed point and with no name or handle, are served to anyone from bountygo.app/map/listings.json while the listing is live.

That licence exists only for as long as we need it. Delete a listing, or delete your account, and the licence ends for that content, apart from copies inside operational logs and records the law requires us to keep.

You promise that you own the content you upload or have the right to upload it, and that publishing it does not break anyone else's rights or any law. If you think something on Bounty Go infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] identifying the work, the content complained of, and your contact details, with a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorised.

9. Meeting people, and the risk you accept

Returning a lost pet or a lost item means meeting someone you do not know. Bounty Go does not run background checks, does not verify identity documents and does not vet anyone. Trust signals in the app are computed from activity on Bounty Go and are not a statement about a person's character or safety.

You are solely responsible for your decisions about meeting anyone, and you accept the risk that comes with it. We strongly recommend meeting in a public place with other people around, bringing someone with you, telling a friend where you are going, using the one time handover code in the app so both sides know who they are dealing with, and keeping your conversation in the app until you decide otherwise.

Bounty Go is not an emergency service. If a person or an animal is in immediate danger, call the emergency number where you are.

To the fullest extent the law allows, you release Bounty Go from claims arising out of your interactions with other users, including anything that happens at a handover, any injury, any loss, and any dispute about a reward.

10. Moderation and termination

We may remove any content, refuse any listing, limit any feature, suspend an account or terminate it permanently, where we reasonably conclude that these terms have been broken, that the law requires it, or that someone's safety calls for it. Where we can tell you why, we will, and you can appeal by writing to [email protected].

You can stop using Bounty Go whenever you like, and delete your account from Settings inside the app or through the Delete your account page. Sections 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 15 survive the end of this agreement.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

In particular, we do not warrant that anything lost will be found, that a listing is truthful, that a sighting is accurate, that a reward will be offered in good faith or paid at all, that any user is who they say they are, or that the app will be uninterrupted, timely or error free. Map data and place names come from third parties and can be wrong. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, in which case the exclusions above apply only so far as that jurisdiction permits, and nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bounty Go is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost pets or items, or loss of goodwill, however caused and on any theory of liability.

Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bounty Go, and its officers, employees and contractors, from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your content, your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your dealings with another user.

14. Apple and Google

This agreement is between you and Bounty Go, not with Apple or with Google, and Bounty Go alone is responsible for the app and its content.

  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app. Beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party about the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection law.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
  • Your use of the app must comply with the usage rules of the store you obtained it from.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as terrorist supporting, and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Bounty Go goes to the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, which have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring proceedings there.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version always lives at this address with its date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will tell you inside the app at least 14 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use Bounty Go after that date is how you accept it. If you would rather not, delete your account.

17. Contact

[email protected] reaches a person. Use it for anything in these terms, including appeals and copyright complaints.
